In response to police, more arrests are imminent.
A 41-Year-Old man appeared within the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court docket on Monday, 9 April on two counts of homicide and kidnapping.
The suspect was arrested on Wednesday, 7 April for the double homicide.

In response to KZN police spokesperson, Col Thembeka Mbele, police acquired a complaint of a double murder along Lwandle Drive in KwaDabeka near Umngeni River on 6 October 2020.
“On arrival, police discovered the bodies of two feminine victims packed in a massive suitcase and dumped. The our bodies have been later identified as a 36-12 months-outdated mom, Simangele Simamane and her daughter, Sbongakonke Mthembu (13).”
Mbele reported that the victims had a number of injuries on the bodies and their necks were tied with a rope.
“The mom sustained open wounds on the back of the head, a number of injuries on the face, bruises on the neck and burnt wounds on her left leg and physique. Her daughter had bruises on the neck. A stab wound on her left hip. It is alleged that the victims have been kidnapped before they had been killed,” mentioned Mbele.
Prices of homicide and kidnapping have been opened at KwaDabeka police station for investigation. On Wednesday, 7 April, police officers from the Provincial Monitoring Staff together with Crime Intelligence received info that a suspect, who was sought for homicide, was again from hiding and was roaming the streets of KwaMashu.
“They proceeded to his place of residence in KwaMashu and he was arrested. The investigation remains to be ongoing and more arrests are imminent,” added Mbele.
